Jack Kauffman

Director, Host, Producer

As an award-winning filmmaker and Certified Sommelier, this project represents the cumulation of over a decade of experience in the world of wine and film. Jack has worked on vineyards in Andalucia, Spain and Colchagua Valley, Chile as well as oversaw a wine bar in Charleston, SC as the wine director and worked as a specialist at Sotheby's auction house in the wine department. What’s more, Jack holds the WSET Level 3 rank with Merit, developed and ran the east coast business of a Napa Valley winery, studied at the IAU wine program in Aix-en-Provence, France, and achieved a 96% grade in Sonoma State University’s Wine Business course. When Jack’s not drinking wine, you can catch him sailing or planning his next adventure.

Joel Kampfe

Wine Advisor, Production Manager

Joel and Jack met years ago while working in wine at Sotheby’s, and quickly became great friends. Joel holds the distinction of DipWSET and owns/operates Unrooted Wines, a unique DTC wine subscription in the United States. Joel has had the great fortune to travel the world for his wine career and currently resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife and kids.

Jacob Setzko

Production Manager

Jacob Setzko is a “Swiss Army Knife” of talent; leveraging his diverse skill set, well-rounded life experience, and strong interpersonal skillset while supporting others. A New England native, Jacob’s deep connection with the outdoors is primarily rooted in his love for the rugged White Mountains region of New Hampshire. Whether he’s soloing the Presidential Traverse or navigating endless trail systems via snowmobile, Jacob’s desire for exploration is boundless and defines his adventurous spirit.

Jacob brings years of hands-on experience supporting established artists, most recently in the Brooklyn studio of internationally renowned, Futura 2000. He individually supported the artist during preparations and creative sessions for notable exhibitions, including the most recent major retrospective, “Futura2000: Breaking Out”. Jacob’s film background includes work across smaller-budget indie projects. Previous credits include Lead Costume Designer and Assistant Producer, which showcase his overall versatility.

An adaptable, proactive, “can-do” individual, Jacob is eager to help bring Jack’s Global Wine Adventure to life. He is inspired to help capture the raw truth, beauty, and culture of regions most people will never experience firsthand—delivering an authentic, adventurous, and inspiring journey for audiences to enjoy worldwide.

Rafael “Rafa” Huerta

Sound Guy

I’m a sound guy. Field recordist and sound post producer. Recording, editing and mixing sound for films since 2005. Sometimes music, sometimes science/art projects. Just love working with sounds.

Alejandro Fuenzalida

Production Assistant

Alejandro has worked on multiple Spielberg sets over the last fifteen years and splits his time between the United States and his home country of Chile. Alejandro and Jack met on set of a production Jack was directing in Connecticut in 2022 and have remained friends since.

José “Chepo” Porte

Assistant Director

Producer and Videographer with over 20 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, ranging from assistant directing and camera operation to directing, production, and post-production. Experienced in creating a wide range of content, including music videos, corporate videos, short films, advertising, and documentary projects. I have been director, director of photography, and camera operator, demonstrating a deep technical and creative understanding. Additionally, I have experience as a Line Producer in advertising and series productions, and have produced television programs for renowned networks such as Talpa, NHL, YLE, and National Geographic. I have collaborated with renowned brands such as H&M, Converse, and Adidas, among others, on fashion photography and video projects.

Max Nadjar

Lead Camera Operator

Born into a creative household, Max, 29, has always been connected to the visual arts. Introduced to photography at a young age by his father, he’s always taken an interest for visual storytelling and cinematography. Always found near the camera department. Max is a filmmaking graduate, a DP and a teacher, with profound love for the craft and whatever challenges come with the gig.

Juan Pablo FarÍas

Camera Operator

Juan Pablo Farías, born in Santiago, holds a degree in Audiovisual Direction from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and also has a specialization in Film Aesthetics. He has developed his cinematic work through documentary, stop-motion animation, and music videos. Juan is always on the lookout for new ways of doing things and capturing his perspective of the world around us. People say that he is very funny.
